The ByWard Cannabis Cessation Clinic provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals seeking support with cannabis use. Patients are seen by Dr. Brodie Ramin, MD, MPhil, CCFP(AM), a family physician with focused training in addiction medicine and over ten years of experience treating substance use disorders.

Services include comprehensive intake assessments, follow-up care, education, referrals, and pharmacotherapy when indicated.

The clinic welcomes referrals from primary care providers across the region. Virtual and in-person appointments are available.

SPECIALISTS

Dr. Ramin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa, where he teaches addiction medicine. He has spoken at international medical conferences on cannabis use disorder and is committed to helping patients address cannabis-related concerns in the context of Canada’s legal cannabis environment and the widespread availability of high-potency products.

HOW TO ACCESS

Providers are to complete the Cannabis Cessation Clinic Referral form and fax to 613-564-6627.

Patient must meet the following criteria:
Patient must have valid OHIP coverage

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will meet with Dr. Ramin for an initial intake assessment followed by appropriate follow up. Services are in English only.

HOW TO PREPARE

Once you receive your appointment confirmation notification for your consultation, you will be asked to complete a Questionnaire. Please complete the Questionnaire before your scheduled appointment.

FEES

Services are covered by OHIP. Patient must have valid OHIP coverage.

No outside use charges – Dr. Ramin holds a GP Focused Practice in Addiction Medicine.
