Starting November 2022, all ByWard FHT Primary Care Providers will charge $25 for prescription renewal requests made without an appointment.

 The fee pays your provider for the time required to respond to the request.  This service is intended as a courtesy when you are running out of medications.  It does not however replace the necessary visit to follow-up on your clinical condition. Your provider will usually issue a small amount of medication until you can make an appointment.

 To avoid incurring this fee, please ensure that you renew your prescriptions during your visit with your physician.

 Please note that patients who have been granted ByWard FHT Fee exemption are exempt from paying this fee.
