Walk-in Clinic

Our walk-in clinic provides medical care for patients who meet one of the following criteria:

  • All patients who are currently registered with a BWFHT primary care provider (family MD or NP). This includes Quebec residents.*
  • Registered students** of the University of Ottawa or Saint Paul University
  • Current employees** of the University of Ottawa or Saint Paul University
  • OSEG Organization

*Quebec patients are required to pay a fee at each visit. Consult our Fees page for more information.
**Please remember to have your valid student or employee ID when accessing BWFHT services.

Note: The Walk-in clinic is closed on Sundays from June to August, on December 25th and 26th and on January 1st. On recognized holidays we are open from 10am to 2pm.

How to Access

New protocol: until further notice, patients are not to present at the clinic without an appointment.  Please call our clinic at 613-564-3950 to book a telephone appointment with one of our health care providers. If after the consultation, the provider determines that you need to be seen in person we’ll schedule another appointment for you at the Walk-in clinic.

The Walk-in Clinic is located at 100 Marie Curie Private (1st floor), at the corner of King Edward Avenue. Centrally located on the University of Ottawa campus, we are especially convenient for individuals who work or live downtown as we provide easy access to healthcare in a clean, modern and friendly environment.

The Walk-in Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.

 

What to Expect

You can see a nurse or doctor for a non urgent issue. There may be fees associated with your walk-in clinic visit (i.e. for uninsured services). Quebec patients are required to pay a fee at each visit. Consult our Fees page for more information.

Patients can get advice, assessment and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries including infection and rashes, emergency contraception, stomach upsets, cuts and bruises, and skin complaints.

NARCOTICS AND OTHER CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES WILL NOT BE RENEWED THROUGH OUR WALK-IN CLINIC. These medications should be renewed by your family physician or their designate.
